Is Cream Of Tartar Good For Yeast Infection
The root cause of a yeast infection is the existing fungi in your skin. Moist areas are where fungi grow. In fact, the more the moisture, the more is the growth. Yeast infection is caused by a shift in the location of fungal growth. Though the skin can handle any fungal infections, organisms can enter the skin through any break which might be existent.
Amazing but true, yeast infection is seen only in adult women, but never in children. When a child gets oral thrush, it does not affect any other part of the body. Parents usually hear about the existence of such misconceptions during the years when their child is growing. Children unfortunately often become victims of overgrowth of Candida which need to be limited only to the mouth. For such infections to occur and spread, all that is needed is a warm and damp environment.
Reasons for Yeast Infection:
If Candida loves a wet and warm area, where else can it find it other than the diapers of your toddler who is just learning toilet habits? Candida thrives in wet and moist environment. So those cute folds and the areas which are normally covered by diapers are places where it grows. It looks more or less like thrush with those white lumps and smelling like rising bread. You could prevent your child from yeast infections if you keep the baby dry and clean especially during the hot and humid months.
Why does yeast infection affect only women? Well, because their genital area has more folds for the Candida to thrive. Since boy babies also wear diapers which keep them warm and moist, it can affect them too. Ponder over this: the conditions which result in diaper rash would be the same for Candida overgrowth. So you ought to take the same preventive steps for both the baby girl and the boy.
Warning signals for yeast infection:
The symptoms of a yeast infection depend on the area of the infection. If the infection occurs in the vagina then the woman would feel a burning sensation accompanied by a vaginal discharge which is thick and white or thin and watery. Oral thrush can be manifested in the form of some thick white patches on top of swollen red skin in the mouth. It is less itchy than outer skin infections but can bleed if you remove the white part. Because this causes pain during eating and drinking, ensure the child is well hydrated.
You need to remain alert for the causes of yeast infections. Though potentially not fatal, it could lead to complications if you ignore it. The most commonly appearing symptoms are discussed here but further advice can be given by your local doctor.
