Finding a lower cost health plan provider
With the cost of providing a professional medical service to American families rising, it is not surprising that many people are looking for an affordable health care provider. Companies are using rising premiums and tighter financial budgets to reduce the level of health care available to their employees. How do I know this, well because I am one of those people affected and despite a very good job, before 2006, the health care package at work was first rate. My employer's excuse was it was getting to expensive with the current company and was going to switch to a less expensive one.
The excuse was that they were trying to ensure the new package would help everyone in the company. Many people I've spoken to are happy with the new insurance and that I am just as well provided for. The problem is that in an effort to find a less expensive insurance, having my husband and daughter on the policy is now costing twice the amount it did before. This means, that for my company to provide a health plan to all of the employees, it is no longer affordable for us.
I suppose my health care plan is still good but this new company is not as good as the old one. For many of us, higher out of pocket expenses and less in our paychecks is the only result of this pursuit of an affordable health care plan. It makes more sense when you realize just how good the old policy was because I didn't pay cent when I stayed in hospital 2 years ago giving birth to my daughter. Working out that same stay with the new plan would mean approximately 4,000 dollars would have to be paid by me.
You also have to bear in mind that this additional expense is just the hospital bill and doesn't include the additional work fees I must now pay. Luckily there are more and more affordable health care programs being created to help those that do not have any coverage. Those less fortunate can now get free health care more readily and workers without health care are able to join special schemes. Whilst I appreciate these programs because they are saving lives and helping people to grow stronger and healthier, some people take advantage of them.
Perhaps some form of means testing is needed for people so that only genuine cases have the benefit of affordable health care. I get annoyed because it's the upright taxpayer who has to finance these schemes for the needy and not the state. My employer definitely found advantages in finding a lower cost health plan provider for their employees! Less take home pay was the result of my company's health provider switch with many of its workforce the ones seeing less money to take home for their families. We have a responsibility here in America to providing some sort of affordable health care for those that need it most.

Medical Service Alternatives
Locating affordable health care for Americans is not as easy as it used to be. Many companies are now increasing the charges, for providing this service to their workers or cutting back on the level of cover. This situation happened to me not that long ago at the company I work for when every employee's health benefits were reduced. My employer's excuse was it was getting to expensive with the current company and was going to switch to a less expensive one.
Unfortunately, the old system didn't benefit everyone in the company but the new one would, it was claimed. Some people will argue of course, that my new insurance is still fantastic and I am fortunate to have it. The problem is that in an effort to find a less expensive insurance, having my husband and daughter on the policy is now costing twice the amount it did before. Taking a good deal less home in my paycheck to have my family remain on the healthcare policy seems to be the only option I have because almost everyone else is happy with the new arrangement.
From what I have seen, this new company we are with is not in the same league as the old one even though I still seem to have a reasonably good plan. For many of us, higher out of pocket expenses and less in our paychecks is the only result of this pursuit of an affordable health care plan. I am sure of this because just over 2 years ago when I had my little boy, the stay in hospital was completely covered by my insurance policy. This new plan, under similar circumstances however, would personally cost me in excess of 5,000 dollars.
This figure does not take into account additional amounts I must pay out of my salary. The availability of affordable health care plans is on the increase which should help those less fortunate. Those less fortunate can now get free health care more readily and workers without health care are able to join special schemes. Unfortunately, there are always a few that want to ruin it for the rest and this system is prone to misuse.
Those programs should be for struggling families who are taking steps to better their futures, not for people who have no motivation and live off of the state systems and affordable health care programs. We all have a responsibility to help those less fortunate but those who abuse the system put extra financial pressure on the rest of us. Financially speaking, my company saw the real advantage to this switch and some of the employees. Having a reduced income seems to be the result of these work changes with only the company truly benefiting. In the long term we really need to do something in America to help those in need find affordable health care.

Need for Affordable Insurance Policies
Today in America, many more of its population is in need of affordable health care. Some employers for hardworking employees have had to cut back on some of the health care for everyone because of the rising costs and working with a budget. It wasn't that long ago that I had a fantastic health plan but all that has changed. Out of the blue the company decided to change their health care provider because it was costing them too much.
To make the system fair to everyone, the health care provider would need to change. Many people I've spoken to are happy with the new insurance and that I am just as well provided for. I don't mind other workers benefiting but it costs me more now, almost twice as much more to have my family covered in the plan. Other than a few exceptions, everyone else seems to benefit from this new arrangement but because I haven't had a raise but I am taking a great deal less home so my family can have health cover.
I liked the previous company and so far I am not as impressed with the new one although the health care plan doesn't seem that bad. The new affordable health care plan initiated by my company meant that certain workers found themselves a lot worse off financially with additional co-pays and expenses. I am sure of this because just over 2 years ago when I had my little boy, the stay in hospital was completely covered by my insurance policy. Working out that same stay with the new plan would mean approximately 4,000 dollars would have to be paid by me.
You also have to bear in mind that this additional expense is just the hospital bill and doesn't include the additional work fees I must now pay. There is obviously a market for these schemes because more and more affordable health care options are becoming available. For workers in companies without health care plans and single mums for instance, this is a God send. Although these programs are a good idea for those less fortunate there are always people who want to abuse the system.
I feel sorry for those in genuine need of affordable health care who must look around and see others who are just sponges on the system: a financial burden to the state. Taxpayers, such as me, are contributing to the vast number of programs currently available. My employer definitely found advantages in finding a lower cost health plan provider for their employees! Having a reduced income seems to be the result of these work changes with only the company truly benefiting. If we are to help the worst affected, we need to start looking at long term options for Americans in providing cost effective, affordable health care.

Pursuing an affordable health plan
Finding affordable health care in America is getting harder. Increasingly, workers are finding themselves on the receiving end from their employers who are reducing the services provided or passing on the increases. My work health care plan was, until the latter part of 2006, great but now the benefits it supplied have been reduced. Out of the blue the company decided to change their health care provider because it was costing them too much.
The excuse was that they were trying to ensure the new package would help everyone in the company. Many people I've spoken to are happy with the new insurance and that I am just as well provided for. The new insurance company may be cheaper for the company but it isn't for me because to have my husband and daughter in the plan costs double what it did with the previous provider. This means, that for my company to provide a health plan to all of the employees, it is no longer affordable for us.
Today, if I had a baby, it would cost me around four thousand dollars for my expenses.
But, this doesn't include the additional amounts taken out of my paycheck, only the hospital costs. There is obviously a market for these schemes because more and more affordable health care options are becoming available.
Financially speaking, my company saw the real advantage to this switch and some of the employees. It worked out just fine for my employers when they switched providers but many of us are paying the price. Providing health care which is affordable for Americans needs to be dealt with sooner rather than later.
