Various Discomfort about Women's Menstrual Cramps

Life seems determined to constantly throw up new types of pain if you are woman. Throughout their lives, many women are lucky enough not to suffer from period pains but menstrual cramps can be something they start to experience when they reach the menopause. For the ten percent of women who suffer with either endometriosis or PCOS, the complaint can be considerably worse each month. How much pain each woman will feel varies considerably with some barely able to move whilst other hardly feel any discomfort at all.

If you suffer as badly as this you need to have a menstrual cramp relief remedy that you can rely on each month. The most obvious answer is to take one in pill form which also seems to be the most common method. Drug manufacturers were quick to formulate a remedy which most people know as Pamprin. Even if you don't like taking pain medication and have always steered clear of pain relief, this may be a time to reconsider.

Think about how many days you lose each year to painful cramps that you do not have to endure? What's worse is that you may have more than just the cramps to contend with, you may experience a bloated feeling and nausea too. After a number of years of suffering I'd had enough and decided to find a menstrual cramp relief remedy to claim those days back every month. Sometimes it is ok, but at other times I truly feel like someone has squeezed my midsection with a large vice, and I just can't get free.

Sometimes, my relief comes in the form of a heating pad which I normally use on my stomach, and other times it works best when placed on my back. This might be something you want to try if you have found that pain relief pills are not the route you want to go. All this is ok if you do not have those menstrual cramps that disable you, in that event a more long term solution would probably be required. Where this is causing a problem with attending work each cycle, you may forced into finding something to help before you find yourself seeking other employment

If you are finding the problem is getting too much then arrange for your doctor to prescribe a stronger form of menstrual cramp relief. Many women find that the birth control pill is an answer and the doctor may even suggest this remedy if they know you are not currently taking it. The discomfort you feel from your cramps might be a long term problem if you have planned to get pregnant but if this isn't the case then your doctor should be able to advise you if you are in any danger whilst on the Pill. You can get relief from those awful cramps if you try enough different remedies because it is only a matter of time.

Reducing the Monthly Pains

Women often get to a certain stage in their lives when they honestly believe that their bodies are against them. If it is not the night sweats it is the mood swings and not to mention menstrual cramps. The condition of endometriosis (which affects 1 in 10 women) can also increase the pain a woman will feel during this time. There does not seem to be any reason for those who feel no menstrual discomfort and those who experience regular agonizing effects.

Whilst a number of remedies available claim they will give menstrual cramp relief, it is the reliability of these drugs that often causes a problem. One of the most common types of comes in the form of a pill and many women swear by it. Pamprin is probably the best known of these, probably because it is marketed purely towards sufferers of this condition. Some women prefer to accept the pain every cycle rather than take any form of pain relief but are they doing themselves any good with this attitude?

Why waste days of your life in pain when there is no need; think about all those things that you are stopped form doing. To make matters worse, the cramps are only part of the problem if you are one of those individuals who also has to put up with nausea and a constant bloated feeling. After some time of enduring these pains I realized that I was only hurting myself and looked into other menstrual cramp relief remedies. There were times I thought my stomach was being crushed whilst others there was little discomfort at all!

Heat pads can work quite well but you may find you have to experiment where it is placed for it to bring some relief. If pills don't seem to touch the pain, this may be something you want to try for your discomfort. For women that have menstrual cramps that pretty much disable them completely, they may want to find something stronger. The problem worsens when every month regular as clockwork you have to call in sick from your job.

If you are finding the problem is getting too much then arrange for your doctor to prescribe a stronger form of menstrual cramp relief. They may have options you have not considered, so if you aren't currently on the Pill, this may be something you want to try because for many women, being on the Pill reduces or even eliminates their cramps. The only time this probably won't be the ideal solution is if you have planned to have a child in the near future in which case your doctor should be able to advise you further of any dangers and options to help ease your cramp situation. Good luck with your search for a way to ease those regular painful cramps.

Women's Solutions to Menstrual Cramps

There comes a point in most women's lives where they firmly believe their body no longer likes them. Even if you have irregular cycles, you can still get hit with menstrual cramps, though some women get them worse than others. For some it is because they have PCOS or endometriosis that the condition seems to be more severe and painful. Some women experience such severe pains they are not even able to leave their bed.

There are a number of menstrual cramp relief remedies available but what women want is one that will stop the pain every month. Pain relief pills seem to be the most prescribed option amongst women. A tablet by the name of ‘Pamprin' is used by many women who say it works wonders for them, possibly because it was formulated for just that one reason. Even if you don't like taking pain medication and have always steered clear of pain relief, this may be a time to reconsider.

Nothing can take the wind out of your sails or put a dampener on your day like painful cramps. What's worse is that you may have more than just the cramps to contend with, you may experience a bloated feeling and nausea too. I just didn't want to continue enduring the pains almost every month so I started looking around for menstrual cramp relief remedies. There doesn't seem to be any consistency about it either, most months I have an awful time and then the odd cycle that is completely pain free.

There are times when nothing seems to give me any relief but someone suggested I try a heat pad on my stomach which worked quite well although sometimes it works better against my back. You may not have tried this for your problem before but it is well worth giving it a go particularly if you haven't had any success with pills. This may not be that effective for women that exhibit painful and disabling menstrual cramps each cycle: they might want something more powerful. This is especially true if you find that you sometimes have to miss work because they are so bad which doesn't help your attendance record if it's a regular occurrence.

If this has happened to you, you should make an appointment to talk to your doctor about finding menstrual cramp relief. They may have options you have not considered, so if you aren't currently on the Pill, this may be something you want to try because for many women, being on the Pill reduces or even eliminates their cramps. If you are trying to get pregnant this will obviously be out of the question but this is not the only remedy your doctor will discuss with you. You will eventually find a remedy that works for you; it is just a matter of time.
