Better Anti-aging Treatments

The use of anti-aging skin care products these days is on the increase and all things considered it is perfectly natural; there is nothing wrong with wanting to continue looking young as you get older, in fact it is quite a healthy aim. We achieve this with beauty products that synthesize the production of the protein collagen; with around a quarter of our skin protein being collagen, the importance of this substance has not gone unnoticed. This area of anti-ageing treatments is connected to another group of products that help people to look young; this group is called antioxidants and apart from their cell repairing ability, they may be able to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.

One of the best known anti-oxidants is vitamin C and despite continual research, no-one body involved can decide just exactly how much our body should consume on a daily basis. Skin care treatments that are based on vitamin C, pose the problem of becoming oxidized themselves as they come into contact with air during their usage.

Other skin care treatments which mimic the effects of vitamin C are being tried all the time which are hoped to be more stable in the atmosphere and also cheaper to produce. Unfortunately the anti-oxidant products used to replace vitamin C are not as effective but as vitamin E and lipoic acid can both have the same effect; this is not too much of a problem.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant and is found in human blood; there is some evidence to show it helps prevent diseases including cancer. Lipoic acid is found in every single human cell and helps provide energy; it can also help reduce the aging process which affects the skin.

Another group of products used to reduce the visible signs of aging are phytochemicals which are compounds extracted from various plants and used in many anti-aging skin care products. Phytochemicals prevent occurrence of certain types of cancer; for example:

Prostate Cancer

Cancer that attacks the Breast

Cancer that attacks the Colon

These are some of the most common (and increasingly so) cancers in the world today.

For some time now it has also been known that the vitamins B5, B6 and B12 also have anti-ageing skin care properties. Although the area of anti-ageing skin care products is huge, more is being learnt about the whole ageing process and about natural products that can reduce the effects it has on our bodies as well as our skin. Whilst a great deal has been learned about this subject, it is only the tip of the iceberg; each year, more is learnt about this topic so reducing the effects of age on the body is just a matter of time.

Hopefully, these challenges will get resolved in due course and better and cheaper anti-ageing skin care products will be produced. A person should never accept that everything science devises in relation to skin care and anti-aging is always going to be the best; it is doubtful if science can replace natural skin care remedies. Simple things that can make a difference in slowing the signs of ageing; these include physical activity, restful sleep, maintaining good dietary habits and removing stress from your life.

Efficient Skin Care Treatment

Vanity plays a large part in the use of popular anti-aging skin care products and treatments; when most of us can expect to live longer and have fuller, more active lives, this is hardly surprising. This group of beauty products generally works by enabling the synthesis of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue in animals and the most abundant in our body; twenty-five per cent of the skin's protein is collagen. This area of anti-ageing treatments is connected to another group of products that help people to look young; this group is called antioxidants and apart from their cell repairing ability, they may be able to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.

Although the benefits of vitamin C (an anti-oxidant) are well documented, it is still debated as to what our daily amount should be. Skin care treatments that are based on vitamin C, pose the problem of becoming oxidized themselves as they come into contact with air during their usage.

More stable skin care treatments are now available that are almost as efficient and actually cost less to manufacture. Unfortunately the anti-oxidant products used to replace vitamin C are not as effective but as vitamin E and lipoic acid can both have the same effect; this is not too much of a problem.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant and is found in human blood; one particular disease it may help to prevent is certain types of cancer. On the other hand, lipoic acid or alpha-lipoic acid is necessary for energy production which keeps us alive; it is also able to help reduce and restore the skin's aging process.

Another group of products used to reduce the visible signs of aging are phytochemicals which are compounds extracted from various plants and used in many anti-aging skin care products. Phytochemicals prevent occurrence of certain types of cancer; these include:

Cancer that attacks the Prostate

Breast Cancer

Cancer that attacks the Colon

These three types of cancer are also becoming a global problem.

Other vitamins from the B group are also used in anti-ageing skin care like vitamins B5, B6 and B12 for example. The use of anti-ageing skin care products is a huge scientific field to research and has far greater potential than just producing goods that reduce the visible signs of age. Gradually, new discoveries will be made to advance our understanding of the aging process; each year, more is learnt about this topic so reducing the effects of age on the body is just a matter of time.

There may be many challenges still to overcome but in time scientists believe they will succeed in producing more effective anti-ageing skin care products that are less expensive and available to more people. A person should never accept that everything science devises in relation to skin care and anti-aging is always going to be the best; man-made products may never replace those that are available naturally! Regular sleep patterns, exercise, a good healthy diet and less stress will all contribute to reducing the signs of ageing, for instance!

Anti-aging Skin Care Products

Anti-aging skin care products are very popular today; it is not unreasonable to want to continue looking youthful for as long as possible when you consider how much longer most of us are living! Skin is important so a great deal of effort goes into the preparation of beauty products especially those that increase the production of collagen, which is the primary protein in skin; collagen makes up approximately 25 percent of the total protein in the skin. Collagen is a member of another family of substances that aid in reducing the signs of ageing. these are known as antioxidants which remove toxins from the body.

Vitamin C is probably one of the better known anti-oxidants in use today but the debate about the daily quota required is ongoing. Unfortunately all skin care treatments that use vitamin C have the problem of atmospheric oxidization to contend with once the product is exposed to the air.

Manufacturers are trying alternative skin care treatments to vitamin C that do not have this oxidization problem or cost as much to produce. These alternative products are not as effective as vitamin C but vitamin E and lipoic acid are anti-oxidants and are now being used.

The body uses vitamin E as an antioxidant and to increase the natural defense we have against sickness; it helps build resistance against infection like cancer for example. Lipoic acid is found in every single human cell and helps provide energy; it is also able to help reduce and restore the skin's aging process.

The use of plants has not been overlooked either with many types able to provide essences called phytochemicals which have proved successful in anti-aging skin care products. A secondary but more important use of phytochemicals is the effect they have on the prevention of some strains of cancer; for instance:

Prostate Cancer

Cancer that attacks the Breast

Colon Cancer

These three types of cancer are also becoming a global problem.

Surprisingly, the group of vitamins; B5, B6, and B12 have also shown that they can be used to help reduce the effects of ageing. This is a vast area that has the potential for many new anti-ageing skin care products and services in the future but research needs to continue. A great deal about the aging process has already been learned and the products available today are already far more advanced than ten years ago; there is still a long way to go however, before methods that successfully reduce the effects of age are commonplace.

In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable anti-ageing skin care products will become available for a larger number of people to use. A person should never accept that everything science devises in relation to skin care and anti-aging is always going to be the best; we must not forget however, that there are many more natural methods we can all use to reduce the signs of aging on a regular basis. Regular sleep patterns, exercise, a good healthy diet and less stress will all contribute to reducing the signs of ageing, for instance!
