Liposuction: Tumescent v. Ultrasonic
Liposuction is a fat removal procedure that aims to eradicate excessive stubborn fat from these hard to shift areas on women and men. this method should not be thought of as a method to control weight. An unwanted and peculiar side-effect is the fat that's removed can sometimes reoccur; annoyingly, this can happen in a completely different area to where it was taken.
The two most common methods to get rid of it are the tumescent technique and Ultrasonic. The latest of these methods; Tumescent, has in a short space of time become one of the most popular forms of cosmetic enhancement in the USA today.
There is less bruising with this method which is an additional benefit from the use of a smaller tube. The main reason Tumescent liposuction has become so popular with cosmetic surgeons is because the addition of adrenaline to the solution reduces the blood loss that often happens when more traditional methods are used.
Ultrasonic liposuction allows fat to be removed from traditionally awkward locations like the thighs, upper stomach and back.
During the more traditional technique it is difficult for the surgeon to see where the probe is and therefore it is possible to puncture or damage internal organs. It is always in the patient's interest to find out everything they can about the process before they commit to any cosmetic procedure.
As with any type of medical procedure, liposuction does have some risk attached although professional cosmetic surgeons take great care of their patients. In preparing for the procedure, individuals are required to undergo a series of physical examinations to determine whether or not their health is good enough to have it performed. To ensure infections do not occur after treatment, cosmetic surgeons prescribe antibiotics to patients and re-iterate the importance of keeping wounds clean. Cosmetic surgery is improving all the time, so are the techniques to perform it and methods to avoid complications.
To treat cellulite and bumpy skin, another form of liposuction is used called Lipo Dissolve which uses the application of a number of small needles to remove the fat, dissolving it during the process. Because Lipo Dissolve does not cause any pain, it can be performed without the need for any anesthetic and be used with other skin treatments that do not require surgical intervention.
