Liposuction types
Liposuction is a procedure in which localized deposits of fat are removed to re-contour one or more areas of the body; however, this should not be considered as another method to lose weight quickly. An unwanted and peculiar side-effect is the fat that's removed can sometimes reoccur; annoyingly, this can happen in a completely different area to where it was taken.
Two basic techniques of removal are used; the tumescent technique and Ultrasonic. The most popular of these two methods, Tumescent, is performed routinely now in the USA as a treatment for unwanted fat.
Fat is removed by a smaller tube and this also helps to reduce the amount of bruising that occurs with the traditional method. Tumescent liposuction is now the procedure of choice with cosmetic surgeons because the adrenaline added to the solution used, cuts down the bleeding that normally happens.
Ultrasonic liposuction also facilitates fat removal from areas that have already been treated unsuccessfully, owing to their location.
The problem with the conventional treatment is the surgeon has trouble seeing where the probe is located in the body so it is possible for internal organs to be damaged if extreme care is not taken. The best thing to do is to consult with a surgeon to choose the most suitable technique for your body.
Even with the best professionals carrying out a relatively safe procedure like liposuction, risks and side effects are still there, even death of which the odds are five thousand to one against. Anyone considering this treatment will need to have a medical examination first to confirm they are in good physical health for the procedure to take place. To ensure infections do not occur after treatment, cosmetic surgeons prescribe antibiotics to patients and re-iterate the importance of keeping wounds clean. Techniques in cosmetic surgery have moved forward in leaps and bounds especially in the field of fat removal.
By using a number of tiny injections, Lipo Dissolve, another process akin to liposuction, removes the fat from cellulite and related skin complaint sufferers. Because Lipo Dissolve does not cause any pain, it can be performed without the need for any anesthetic and be used with other skin treatments that do not require surgical intervention.
