Popular Cosmetic Treatment

Another very popular cosmetic treatment to remove excess fat is liposuction; usually from the thighs, stomach and bottom, and is frequently used when other methods fail. The only problem with this procedure is that sometimes the fat returns some time later; but not necessarily in the region it was originally taken from.

Two basic techniques of removal are used; the tumescent technique and Ultrasonic. Tumescent is one of the latest advances in this type of treatment which is now is one now of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgeries in the USA.

The tube used is much smaller and this also helps lessen the bruising which normally means a longer recovery period. The main reason Tumescent liposuction has become so popular with cosmetic surgeons is because the addition of adrenaline to the solution reduces the blood loss that often happens when more traditional methods are used.

Some of the most awkward areas to remove fat from are the thighs, hips, back and upper stomach region but Ultrasonic liposuction makes this possible.

Every medical procedure has some element of risk and this is no different because when using the traditional treatment process the plastic surgeon is unable to see exactly where the probe is inside the body. As always the best course of action for a prospective patient is to speak to the surgeon who is going the carry out the procedure and learn what method is best suited for them.

As with any type of medical procedure, liposuction does have some risk attached although professional cosmetic surgeons take great care of their patients. Anyone considering this treatment will need to have a medical examination first to confirm they are in good physical health for the procedure to take place. Patients are told to keep wounds clean after the procedure and given antibiotics to avoid possible infection at this vulnerable time. Techniques in cosmetic surgery have moved forward in leaps and bounds especially in the field of fat removal.

Lipo dissolve another type of liposuction involves a series of injections of a compounded mixture of drugs into areas of body fat: including saddlebags, double chins, hips and other hard to reach places. Because Lipo Dissolve does not cause any pain, it can be performed without the need for any anesthetic and be used with other skin treatments that do not require surgical intervention.
