Dealing with Menstrual Pains
Life seems determined to constantly throw up new types of pain if you are woman. Many women who're unluckily enough to have irregular periods can still have menstrual cramps to deal with as well. For the ten percent of women who suffer with either endometriosis or PCOS, the complaint can be considerably worse each month. How much pain each woman will feel varies considerably with some barely able to move whilst other hardly feel any discomfort at all.
If you suffer as badly as this you need to have a menstrual cramp relief remedy that you can rely on each month. One of the most common types of comes in the form of a pill and many women swear by it. Pamprin is probably the best known of these, probably because it is marketed purely towards sufferers of this condition. Some women prefer to accept the pain every cycle rather than take any form of pain relief but are they doing themselves any good with this attitude?
Think about how many days you lose each year to painful cramps that you do not have to endure? What's worse is that you may have more than just the cramps to contend with, you may experience a bloated feeling and nausea too. Eventually I came to the conclusion that I would need to find a reliable menstrual cramp relief remedy to get rid of those pains each cycle. There doesn't seem to be any consistency about it either, most months I have an awful time and then the odd cycle that is completely pain free.
Heat pads can work quite well but you may find you have to experiment where it is placed for it to bring some relief. If pills don't seem to touch the pain, this may be something you want to try for your discomfort. When you have painful and long lasting menstrual cramps each month, you may have to take more action. Of course, this is more likely if you have to call in sick each month because the stomach pains are so intense.
If this has happened to you, you should make an appointment to talk to your doctor about finding menstrual cramp relief. Many women find that the birth control pill is an answer and the doctor may even suggest this remedy if they know you are not currently taking it. Obviously this would be a stupid option if you are trying for a baby but there will be other remedies you doctor can prescribe to help the cramp you feel each cycle. Whatever methods you do eventually try good luck in your search.
