Reducing the Monthly Pains

Women often get to a certain stage in their lives when they honestly believe that their bodies are against them. If it is not the night sweats it is the mood swings and not to mention menstrual cramps. The condition of endometriosis (which affects 1 in 10 women) can also increase the pain a woman will feel during this time. There does not seem to be any reason for those who feel no menstrual discomfort and those who experience regular agonizing effects.

Whilst a number of remedies available claim they will give menstrual cramp relief, it is the reliability of these drugs that often causes a problem. One of the most common types of comes in the form of a pill and many women swear by it. Pamprin is probably the best known of these, probably because it is marketed purely towards sufferers of this condition. Some women prefer to accept the pain every cycle rather than take any form of pain relief but are they doing themselves any good with this attitude?

Why waste days of your life in pain when there is no need; think about all those things that you are stopped form doing. To make matters worse, the cramps are only part of the problem if you are one of those individuals who also has to put up with nausea and a constant bloated feeling. After some time of enduring these pains I realized that I was only hurting myself and looked into other menstrual cramp relief remedies. There were times I thought my stomach was being crushed whilst others there was little discomfort at all!

Heat pads can work quite well but you may find you have to experiment where it is placed for it to bring some relief. If pills don't seem to touch the pain, this may be something you want to try for your discomfort. For women that have menstrual cramps that pretty much disable them completely, they may want to find something stronger. The problem worsens when every month regular as clockwork you have to call in sick from your job.

If you are finding the problem is getting too much then arrange for your doctor to prescribe a stronger form of menstrual cramp relief. They may have options you have not considered, so if you aren't currently on the Pill, this may be something you want to try because for many women, being on the Pill reduces or even eliminates their cramps. The only time this probably won't be the ideal solution is if you have planned to have a child in the near future in which case your doctor should be able to advise you further of any dangers and options to help ease your cramp situation. Good luck with your search for a way to ease those regular painful cramps.
