Relieving Menstrual Pains
Women often get to a certain stage in their lives when they honestly believe that their bodies are against them. Some women only start to really suffer with menstrual cramps (the bane of many women) when they enter their menopause. For some it is because they have PCOS or endometriosis that the condition seems to be more severe and painful. There does not seem to be any reason for those who feel no menstrual discomfort and those who experience regular agonizing effects.
The problem is getting a menstrual cramp relief remedy that you can guarantee will work every month. One of the most common types of comes in the form of a pill and many women swear by it. You can try any pain relief remedy and they should work but many women swear by Pamprin which was designed just for this reason. Although many women prefer not to take any form of medication, this does you no credit if you cannot do anything for days each month.
There should be no guilt about wanting to live a normal life each month so why put up with pain? The cramps aren't the only thing that has to be endured either; the feeling of having eaten too much and nausea can also be a problem. Because I know how painful bad cramps can be, I have had to find other forms of menstrual cramp relief. There doesn't seem to be any consistency about it either, most months I have an awful time and then the odd cycle that is completely pain free.
Recently I started using a heat pad which a friend suggested I try and has worked with some success at easing the discomfort although I do have to vary where I place it for effectiveness; sometimes on my stomach and other times on my back. If you have tried pain relief pills and don't always find they work then it may be worth you trying a heat pad to relieve your discomfort. This may not be that effective for women that exhibit painful and disabling menstrual cramps each cycle: they might want something more powerful. The problem really arises when time has to be taken form work; no employer likes this every month.
If you are finding the problem is getting too much then arrange for your doctor to prescribe a stronger form of menstrual cramp relief. Many women find that the birth control pill is an answer and the doctor may even suggest this remedy if they know you are not currently taking it. If you are trying to get pregnant this will obviously be out of the question but this is not the only remedy your doctor will discuss with you. Good luck with your search for a way to ease those regular painful cramps.
