Various Discomfort about Women's Menstrual Cramps

Life seems determined to constantly throw up new types of pain if you are woman. Throughout their lives, many women are lucky enough not to suffer from period pains but menstrual cramps can be something they start to experience when they reach the menopause. For the ten percent of women who suffer with either endometriosis or PCOS, the complaint can be considerably worse each month. How much pain each woman will feel varies considerably with some barely able to move whilst other hardly feel any discomfort at all.

If you suffer as badly as this you need to have a menstrual cramp relief remedy that you can rely on each month. The most obvious answer is to take one in pill form which also seems to be the most common method. Drug manufacturers were quick to formulate a remedy which most people know as Pamprin. Even if you don't like taking pain medication and have always steered clear of pain relief, this may be a time to reconsider.

Think about how many days you lose each year to painful cramps that you do not have to endure? What's worse is that you may have more than just the cramps to contend with, you may experience a bloated feeling and nausea too. After a number of years of suffering I'd had enough and decided to find a menstrual cramp relief remedy to claim those days back every month. Sometimes it is ok, but at other times I truly feel like someone has squeezed my midsection with a large vice, and I just can't get free.

Sometimes, my relief comes in the form of a heating pad which I normally use on my stomach, and other times it works best when placed on my back. This might be something you want to try if you have found that pain relief pills are not the route you want to go. All this is ok if you do not have those menstrual cramps that disable you, in that event a more long term solution would probably be required. Where this is causing a problem with attending work each cycle, you may forced into finding something to help before you find yourself seeking other employment

If you are finding the problem is getting too much then arrange for your doctor to prescribe a stronger form of menstrual cramp relief. Many women find that the birth control pill is an answer and the doctor may even suggest this remedy if they know you are not currently taking it. The discomfort you feel from your cramps might be a long term problem if you have planned to get pregnant but if this isn't the case then your doctor should be able to advise you if you are in any danger whilst on the Pill. You can get relief from those awful cramps if you try enough different remedies because it is only a matter of time.
